JOB SUMMARY:

The Electrician is responsible for maintaining electrical systems in the buildings. The duties include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning, development, installation, connection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment and electrical systems

Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility equipment and electrical systems and write work orders for follow-up in computer

Communicate with operators, supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems and repair equipment and electrical systems

Supports all electrically related aspects of production, process changes & improvements, and health/safety

Selects materials, size conductors and electrical devices according to code and assist engineering in the determination of objectives for modifications of existing systems

Test parts, assemblies, equipment, and systems for proper operation, making all necessary adjustments and record all modifications

Read and interpret drawings and wiring schematics

Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent required;

 Minimum of 3 years industrial electrical experience

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals required

Experience with Allen Bradley systems, VFDs, PLCs hardware and software, AC/DC circuits, 4-20 mA circuits and 440 MCC's

Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics and drawings, handbooks, specifications, equipment manuals, and parts lists

Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time; Manual dexterity required to operate machinery and computers; able to lift 50 lbs, bend, twist, kneel, climb, reach/stretch, and push/pull

Must be able to work full time
